ABOUT ME
A game developer with 2 years of experience building fun, user-friendly and immersive games. I focus on helping designers bring their vision to life by developing an efficient and logical code structure for gameplay mechanics aided by my knowledge of game design and strong communication skills. By combining my knowledge of game design, and experience conducting user research, I have enhanced my gameplay programming skills to better help designers today meet the ever-evolving needs of players. I consider myself a 'forever student', eager to learn and build upon my academic foundations in Game Design and Development.
During my final year of graduate studies, I researched and studied the design principles behind Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games for my Master's thesis. Through this project, I aimed to help designers build a strong foundation for their MMORPGs. I believed that finding the correlation between player motivation profiles and design features of MMORPGs can help designers in the initial design phase of the activities such that in the later life cycle of the game, designers don't have to re-tune activities multiple times and lead to the satisfaction for the majority of their player base.
At present, I work at Northeastern University Game Studio as a Research Assistant helping develop and test serious games. These games are made on StudyCrafter, an application developed on Unity and are used by students and faculty from various departments to assist their research. We have helped many researchers streamline their data collection protocols, assisted in the analysis of data and through our website, we provide a platform where they can publish and discuss their results.
WHAT I DO
PROGRAMMING
Experience in Object Oriented Programming using C#, C++, Python, and Java. Efficient and logical code is core to gameplay mechanics and the tools I create.
GAME DESIGN
Designing games using Unity3D and Unreal Engine 4 game engines. Developed fun and interactive games for personal, academic, research and game jams.
COMPUTER GRAPHICS
Improving the player's experience by developing an efficient graphics pipeline for the game through my knowledge of OpenGL and experience writing shaders.
